bad request message when I type anything into main search bar, same message when I type google into address bar.

when i type anything into the main search bar i get a bad request message shown. this also happens when i type a google address into the address bar. can only search using AVG search bar in top right of home page.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

removed all cookies & cleared cache but still have problem. screen shows Bad Request(invalid hostname) when i try to search
