What file is the bookmarks kept in. I need to delet 100s of them
I have hundreds of bookmarks imported from IE. I need to delete over 100. Where and in what file does firefox keep book marks in so I can go to that file and delete on mass unneeded book marks.

places.sqlite in your Profile folder. But that file can't be edited outside of Firefox without using an SQ Lite manager program.
So where do I get a SQ Lite manager program as I don't want to sit in Bookmards and delete 1000 of them one at a time. At least in explored you can go to favorites and delete as many as you want by just opening the Favorites folder.

What is against using the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to remove those bookmarks?
- Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
You can easily select more than one bookmark with Shift + cursor Down and press the Delete key or delete an entire folder.
If you use an (external) SQLite then you are quite likely corrupting the file.
