This morning as I was typing on a site, suddenly a disembodied voice started to tell me what I was doing, often interjecting "Ten four Fox Has A New Window." or "CAPS LOCK ON" followed, of course by "CAPS LOCK OFF" How did this get started--and more importantly, how do I remove the voice entirely? Did I inadvertently punch some key that starts something for the visually impaired? Help!

Hi Dave! You'll find VoiceOver here: System Preferences->Universal Access->Seeing There you can enable/disable VoiceOver.

Is VoiceOver enabled?

To my knowledge, I have done nothing new to this computer in months--first, how do I find "voice over"? And second, will be there be a box to be checked which "enables" it? (I'm obviously new to computers and have little knowledge about them--so thanks for your patience!) Dave

Hey fire_support! Thanks for your quick response--and for saving my morning sanity! If that weird voice kept at it much longer, well, it was like having pickles in your milkshake, only worse. I much appreciate your time and effort.
