Scrolling occurs whenever cursor is moved
When I'm reading text on a page and I move my cursor, the page will scroll to a new location. I haven't clicked on my mouse, but simply moved my cursor laterally.

You may be in Caret Browsing mode. Tap the F7 key to turn Caret Browsing on or off. You get a warning pop-up when entering Caret Browsing, but no warning when exiting.

Not related to your question, but...
You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update as necessary:
- Plug-in check --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in: Installing (or Updating) the Shockwave plugin with Firefox
- Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape: Installing/Updating Adobe Reader in Firefox
- Shockwave Flash (Adobe Flash or Flash): Updating Flash in Firefox
- Next Generation Java Plug-in for Mozilla browsers: Installing or Updating Java in Firefox
Plug ins are updated. Autoscrolling is un-checked. Caret browsing on or off seems to make no difference. This is driving me crazy. example: If I move my cursor too quickly to the "print command" box to click on "print", the destination (Brother 5370) changes to Quick Books PDF Converter. But the most annoying is simply trying to read a long article. As soon as I move my cursor the page scrolls and loose my place in the article.
Use Firefox Safe Mode to find a problem with an Extension or Plugin:
- Don't check anything when entering Safe Mode, just continue
- If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode it is probably an Extension or Plugin causing the problem
