Acct. login isn't working; changed password, got e-mail, confirmed. Still not working; verified username; got e-mail, confirmed e-mail; still can't log in: "incorrect user name or password ...." Have now created a new acct w/ new user name and new temp e-mail acct to get this far. Can't find anything on-line so far. Need to fix that original acct.

Is the problem with your account on the support site here, or a Firefox sync account?

The site seems to have been a little flaky the past 2 days, but I allow the cookie to live forever, so I haven't been logged out yet.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies in this dialog:

While viewing a page on the problem site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Thanks, but the problem isn't cookies; I clear cookies after every session. My problem is logging into the support center to address another problem.

Now that I have this second account, I could probably ignore the first and leave it hanging around until the end of time, but not knowing what's gone wrong is irritating and doesn't help the "code monkeys," either.

I'm not sure whether to keep on for a solution or not. I don't want to waste anyone's time, but I don't know enough to pass judgment on the issue.

When jsher2000 said, "The site seems to have been a little flaky the past 2 days, ...." I think he got it spot on. I just reset my password again (for about the fifth or sixth time) and sailed right in. I'll mark this issue resolved and move on to other matters. Thanks, jsher2000!
