Due to customer being supported, must use FF 3.6.18 and today it has gone into continual hang/crash modes. Uninstall/reinstall = still crashes.

Last few weeks, FF has been intermittently hanging. Now after continual crasheds, finally uninstalled and resintalled and it either immediately crashes or hangs with most (but not all) URLs. Google/Yahoo OK, CNN comes up, then usually hangs (sometimes immediately closes browser with error msg (see below).

Does that happen when you use Firefox Safe Mode? If not, it could be a problem extension.

Also the 3.6.28 was the last of the security updates not the old 3.6.18 from June last year.

What posted was not the crash report, but that is the extra information about your Firefox setup that Firefox sends to the Mozilla server as part of the crash data.

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).

  • You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
  • You can open the about:crashes page via the location (address) bar, like you open a website.

Well, considering that: (1) There is NO "AppData" folder under my <username>, and (2) Right now FF is bombing even on URLs such as CNN, and (3) It CLAIMS it generated a crash report, but then "about:crashes" is null, with no data....

I'm totally at a loss right now.

Finally deleted the "latest" Adobe Flash player update, went back to Flash 10, worked ok, then added Flash 11 plug-in.

Browser slower, but ok for a few hours, then....

Finally got another crash.

Here's the URL for the crash report:

Hope it's helpful.
