How can I import bookmarks from Internet Explorer?
Firefox had a problem and updated itself. It told me that it was putting my profile in a folder on my desktop, which would included bookmarks, etc. How do I cause the old bookmarks, cookies, and passwords to the new version of FF.? Mark Bales

If there are problems with importing the IE Favorites in Firefox then export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you do not have the menu bar in IE then right-click the toolbar at the top to enable the Menu Bar.
- Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html):
File > Import and Export - Import the HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import Bookmarks from HTML
See "Import from another browser" and "Import from file":
When Firefox is reset then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
You will lose extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you've made.
It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be cautious to avoid carrying over the problem.

Sounds that you have reset Firefox.
What kind of problem did you have with your previous profile?

I did that and it did not import all of the iE bookmarks. I am wondering two things: 1) How to get FF to import ALL bookmarks from IE and 2) How to add the previous bookmarks of FF after it reset by itself.
