While pictures now appear in high resolution on Macs with Retina displays, menus don't. Check out apple.com, for example, and look at the menus. It appears to be a javascript menu, but still, it does render in high resoultion on Safari.

PS: I'm an end user, not a programmer, so please be kind and reply in layman's terms!  ;)

First of all, Tylerdowner, thank you for your reply and for volunteering to look into this. Having said that, I just want to point out that it would have been faster, easier, and more efficient for you to just go to apple.com and take all of 10 seconds to see what I'm talking about.

Still, since I'm the one asking the question here, I did go through the unnecessary step of making the screenshot.  :) You'll notice that the menu text is pixelated, which it isn't on Safari.

Sorry for the snippy opener, I just prefer it when things are efficient. I hope we can still maintain a working relationship.  :P

I did go to apple.com, and didn't see the issue, which is why I asked for a screenshot.

My apologies, then, but on my end it is quite blatant. Just to understand, did you compare the page on Firefox and Safari?

Here is a shot of the Safari version. Can you see a difference? On my screen this version is perfectly smooth. It seems like a vector drawing (or just plain text) rather than pixelated graphics. I don't mean to infer that it's any of those things, but rather just explaining the difference in how they look.
