I also can't print PDF files without downloading and saving them first. I can view them, but there is not print icon anywhere on the screen.

i downloaded the latest version. Still can't print. No print icon shows up. I have to download the file, save it and then print it. This is taking way too long!!

If it doesnt work, a clean installation of firefox is recommended...

I disabled the addons. It didn't help. I'm kind of worried about doing a clean install of Mozilla as it says that I can lose important info. I was always able to print the pdf files. Now the icon has disappeared, even when I hover over different areas of the screen.

Control V doesn't work here for a screenshot.

My xp system worked fine thru v26 then lost ability to print from within the browser. I am at the point of giving up as nothing helps. As long as I stay with v26 everything is fine but anything higher kills the print function. print/preview works but <print> only sounds a ding and the pull down printer selection menu does not appear. IE8 seems to work. Have you had any luck in finding the problem?

No. I had no luck. I have to save the files and then print them, which is a real pain because my computer fills up with unwanted files and then I have to go in and delete them each day. I was beginning to think it was my email system upgrade that caused the problem rather than Mozilla. I may switch to Chrome when I have time. How do you go back to v26?

Whenever Mozilla downloads an update I keep a copy so I had v26 available. I think if you Google [firefox v26] you can find a downloadable copy. So far I make my system work using v26 but anything higher simply won't enable the printer select drop-down.. when I click <print> I get only the "ding". Have removed all antivirus/malwareware programs one by one and they are not causing the problem. Something changed when Mozilla changed from v26 to 27 and whatever that was is what is killing my ability to print from within the browser. Sure wish some of the braintrust at Mozilla would take a look at it.
