i switched browers yesterday and i'm having issues with a site that the pages wont load. Alt.com. It let me once login and thats it, no more....help please

Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache

  • Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.
  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Clear the Cache: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Remove Cookies from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

thanks for your reply but something is still not working. when i bypass the cashe step it will load the first page. after i enter my id and password nothing else will load. i cleared the cashe but couldnot find the word cookies anywhere per your instructinons..........under privacy the history is mentioned not the cookies..........

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab
