When I download a file without asking me where to save it, it saves it in the C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp folder. My default location is the Downloads folder. Plus, when I download a file for example "Application.jar", it saves as "Application.jar.zip" yet again in the AppData folder. Help?

What security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Firefox immediately starts downloading in the background and saves the file to the temp folder and doesn't wait until you specify the name and the location (folder). If the file stays in the temp folder then it is possible that your security software is blocking the file and prevents Firefox from moving the file to the specified destination folder.
