If I add a new email address to a single profile can I make the new inbox showup above the one already there in the folder pane?

I already have multiple email account I access in one profile but the only way I know to rearrange their order in the folder pain is to delete the accounts and add them back in the order I want. There's gotta be a better way.

Keazen oplossing

If you only want to move one mail account to the top of the list in Account Settings, so that it is top of the list in Folder Pane; you need to make that account default.

  • Tools > Account Settings
  • select the account you want to go to the top.
  • click on 'Account Actions'
  • select : 'Set as Default'
  • click on OK

If you want to organise and move other mail accounts lower in the order then there is an addon which can help to do this.

How to install addon: download addon to desktop In thunderbird Tools > Addons or Meni icon > Addons

click on gear wheel icon and select 'Install addon from file' select the file you downloaded and click on 'Open'

The manually sort add on is the perfect solution for what I've wanted to do for so long. Thank you so much for showing this to me!
