I turned off the safe search by accident and got disgusting stuff while searching for a bathroom deodorizer. How can I turn safe search back on in Mozilla. I have windows 8.1

Safe search is a setting in Google, so you need to look there for it to restore. You can remove the Google cookies to reset the Google search settings.

For the Google website you can set preferences on the Google results page via the gear icon in the top right corner, click that button to open the menu list and select Search settings. See SafeSearch filters:

Google settings are stored in a PREF cookie on your computer, so you need to create an allow exception to keep cookies for Google to save the settings, otherwise you have to repeat it.
