I am using the latest version of Firefox as my default browser and Malwarebytes Home Premium. In order to diagnose a problem with MBAM rootkit scanning I have to send a .exe file to MBAM tech support. FF will not permit under normal settings. How do bypass this security feature to send out the .exe file? Also, why does FF prevent such files from being sent out?

Please explain what you mean when saying that Firefox does not permit uploading .exe files. If you see a particular message when trying to upload/attach that .exe file, can you please quote the message, or make a screenshot and attach it here? I'm pretty sure it would make resolving your problem easier.

I strongly suspect that your problem is caused not by Firefox, but either by an antivirus or a similar application on your system, or by the web application where you are trying to upload that file. For example, Gmail does not allow sending or receiving .exe files, so if you are using Gmail, you will have to come up with a different way to share your file with the tech support (e.g. you could probably send them a Dropbox link).

You could pack the .exe file in a ZIP archive to see if that works.

Firefox doesn't "do" email - that limitation is imposed by your webmail service which Firefox will interface with.
