Hey there! I've tried to set up Firefox sync. Even re-installing Firefox multiple times, deleting the .mozilla folder in my home directory the sync won't work. I've tried using Firefox 41.02 as well as 42.0. The sync login is successful and Firefox attempts to sync (blue circle), however nothing happens. When going to about:preferences#sync and then to "Manage" it takes a while to load before getting an "unexpected error". I am trying to sync between my notebook and my desktop, both Linux Mint 17.02.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Your first log shows sync completing. It does have some weird and worrisome bookmark warnings, but otherwise it's OK.

Your second log tells me that you're on a Unitymedia network.

You need to reduce your MTU so it doesn't keep dropping connections.

hello, when you type about:sync-log into the address bar and open the latest one or two error logs, can you copy their contents and put them into http://pastebin.mozilla.org/ or a similar service and paste a link here on the forum? this would be very helpful in assessing the problem. thank you!

Taken from my Laptop using Firefox 41.02(*):

(*) Should I also post a log using Firefox 42.0 and/or a few logs taken from my desktop PC?

Thank you for helping!

Thank you for providing me with that link! I was able to fix the problem. I'd have never thought this to be in relation to my provider. Thank you very much!
