Blank screen but still can open e-mail and work with.
Where e-mail is supposed to appear on right it doesn't show up. The e-mail is there and I can see it on bottom right screen and I can open it and use it but, can't view at a glance. And makes it very cumbersome to work with.

If you are saying that the folder contains emails but the Message List looks like it is blank, but emails must be there because if you select one of those 'blank' emails it displays...... Sounds like the header columns are out of synch for some unknown reason.
Try this: Click on the far right 'Select columns to display' icon choose 'Reset columns to default'. see image below as an aid, so you know what icon I'm talking about.
