I have a number of email accounts linked to TBird... I just added a new one that I would like to move to the top of the folder list (left column). It appears that the only way to do this is to remove the old ones... add the new one and re-add the old ones... is there a better way

The download link shows you images on how to do it.

I presume you have downloaded the .xpi file and installed it in thunderbird. How to Install Add-on Extension: After downloading addon extension *.xpi file to desktop or downloads folder.

In Thunderbird 'Tools' > 'Add-ons' or 'Menu icon' > 'Add-ons'

  • Click on gear wheel icon and select 'Install Add-on From File'.
  • Locate the *.xpi file you downloaded and click on 'Open'.
  • You may need to restart Thunderbird when prompted.

It may well be located on the 'Menu Bar' under 'Tools'. How to enable 'Menu Bar' See image below
