Firefox crashes
Running Windows Vista. Updated to Firefox version 43.0.1 this morning. Upon Firefox restarting to finish update installation Firefox crashed big time. Crash Reports, you name it; even got the Mozilla Embarrassing popup. Tried to reset system to a previous restore point before Firefox update installation, each restore point fails attempt. Tried Firefox safe start, it failed. Tried uninstalling Firefox app and doing clean reinstall of app with latest version; it failed. The new Firefox update version 43.0.1 appears to have created a major problem of conflicts with my OS. Thoughts!

Did you manage to send any crash reports?
If you can't open Firefox, see:

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift (Mac: Options) key to see if that helps.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
Tried all the above; no worky. Crash Reports submitted according to system; that did not do much good. Finally started over and uninstalled full application and installed a clean version of the old application 42.0; everything worked fine until I opened the browser one time and app updated automatically to the new 43.0.1 version even though system was toggled to notify me of updates for me to install; it crashed again with the new update. Just cleaned everything again and reinstalled version 42.0. Working fine so far.
hi betterdays22, in case you have nvidia's network access manager installed, please go into your system control panel and uninstall this program from there and see if you can start firefox normally again afterwards.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Also in Safe mode,
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
