Can't play back viedeos on Youtube or facebook or anywhere.

I downloaded Firefox because Chrome is now longer supported with XP. I've been using Windows XP and Chrome forever before that I think I was windows98 I change browsers only when forced. Did not know what to do when they stopeped supporting XP and Chrome so switched to Firefox.

Now I can't play videos anywhere when I come to a video it says "Playback isn't supported on this device" I tried adding flashplayer22 and Adobe_Flash_Player but nothing plays.

I tried updating Java I get an error msg. it won't update.

I'm a computer dummy just basic knowledge I can e-mail and surf facebook and Youtube that's it, so help needs to be very simple sorry I can not answer technical questions.
