Since last update, the tab content seems to load every time I change tab, in extremely slow pace
I've been using Firefox since version 1 and I've never experienced such a drastic change in performance as in the update some weeks ago, I think because of the multi-process thing? (I do have Windows 10, quad-core i3)
Up to that day, everytime I switched a tab, it just... was there. They all worked at the same time. Now it seems that with every tab change, the Firefox needs to "load" it once again, and it takes forever, me just watching the circling lines in the center.
I used to open a few videos in different tabs and switch between them, but now, Firefox is basically unusable in that manner. The more complicated the side, the more this "loading" time increased, but event his site took like 5 seconds to "load" every time switching back. A simple site like that never took time before... Even while typing, there is a latency if only a few other tabs are active (and they sometimes seem to be loading eternally, until I switch the view to them, wait 5-10 secs with white screen and circling lines in the center, and then Firefox seems to even "come back" to what I'd call actual loading of the site). Nothing can be immediate in this new Firefox. Is there a way to just come back to the way it was? I don't want to export all the useful history and passwords etc. checking every other browser to see which one will work, but this is just going on and extremely tiring.

thank you - the issue seems to come from the new multiprocess-architecture in firefox. from your configuration no issues or causes to those slow downs are apparent. in any case you can set firefox not to run in multiple processes - then your issue should be solved for the moment: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2. double-click it and change its value to false and restart firefox once.

Yeah, seems to have helped, thank you! The videos kinda struggle sometimes, but like in the "normal" way, much less frustrating. It was not that easy to find how to turn off the multiprocess, but I guess that'll have to do for now. Thanks.
