When print an email I received with an attachment (usually an image) the text of my email prints really small. How small can vary with the attached image. Is there a way not to print the attached images? Thanks

Generally, Thunderbird shrinks the whole message so as to get the largest item to fit. This can be a nuisance when there are large or wide components in the message.

I'm not sure if there is a simple solution. Things I'd try:

  • Setting it not to print graphics - this might befound in the printer settings, rather than in Thunderbird itself. Also check Thunderbird's Print Preview.
  • Selecting just the text before printing
  • Setting it to view messages in plain text (not html)
  • Investigate add-ons such as Printing Tools to see if they can be used to force a text print size.

Actually, what I wound up doing was finding the print size setting. I took it off "shrink to page" and scaled it to a set percent instead. Solved.
