I don't want Quantum but it keeps re-installing depsite my changing the updates option
As in the title, I don't want firefox quantum. Was perfectly happy with the old firefox, but Quantum is so buggy with things working differently than before, too. For example, it frequently stops responding, it's often slow and take ages for pages to load. If I have several tabs open, when I flick from one to the other, the page has to reload each time, is blank until it does. Also checking sites using developer tools to see how a site looks on other devices, is not the same and rarely works at all. It shows the re-sized site in a centered window, and only works about 33% of times. It was updated without informing me first, and after several weeks I finally had to do asystem restore to get my old browser back. But even though I select options not to install updates, it suddenly does, without even infroming me first. I've read through some of the other responses to similar questions like mine, and am dismayed by them. It seems like we're stuck with no Quantum and don't have a choice in the matter if we want to continue using Firefox. I have used Firefox for as long as I've used a PC, and that's quite a lot of years, so it's quite alarming to find that we're now being forced to use something we don't want. Has anyone solved the problem of stopping firefox from updating, or is it time to quit using Firefox for good now?

ps. That should have read: It seems like we're stuck with Quantum.... not 'stuck with no Quantum' as in the post.
