How to have the dock icon indicate new message counts across all IMAP folders...

more options

Its been a while since I've used T-bird, but I'm looking for a way to (on a Mac) get the overall new mail count to show somewhere that I can take a quick glance and know that something came into one of my IMAP folders -- the dock icon would be fine. It currently only shows the inbox new messages and as a separate issue doesn't show the count quite right (currently I've got 2 new and it shows only 1). IS there a way to get T-bird (via an add-on or otherwise) to show the overall new mail count as a single number in the dock?

right now, if I look at T-bird it shows the "All Mail" folder with 4 new mail which is correct. I'd just like that "4" to show up on the dock icon.. Thanks!!

"All Mail" is a special folder where GMail archives all email...literally :) Thunderbird is showing the right number.

If you don't want this folder to be accounted for, unsuscribe to it. Read more about it here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-gmail
