I am trying to move my email folders to a new location. i can find the profile folder, but when I try to access it, I get a windows dialogue box that says the folder is corrupt and unreadable. I have tried copy]paste, but nothing happens.

I can see all of my email from within the thunderbird application.

How can I move this folder so I can move my folders to a different computer?

YOu need to fix the file system corruption before you can copy anything!

Thunderbird stores three sets of "information" on your email, only one is complete. that is the MBOX file that a folders contents is stored in. This a the canonical store within Thunderbird. There is also a database that contains sufficient information to populate the user interface with lists of mails and a third store that acts as the global search index. This means just because you see a list of mails, your mail is not necessarily there. Only viewing the content of the email will show if it is truly still there.

Only the MBOX file is required to still have access to your mail.. The rest can and will be recreated if they are bad. This YouTube video from HP shows how to check and repair disk errors in Windows 10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDqcqKIWQiw
