Since upgrade to windows 10 can't located an ad on for dl audio from youtube videos (lost the one I was using in the upgrade)
I use Firefox for my default browser. I had an add on that I was using for downloading audio from Youtube Videos. When you clicked the link under the video a long red banner opened saying to 'Download Audio' and then it showed the progress of the download in the red banner. I had my computer serviced and upgraded to Windows 10 Home. When I got my computer back the tech had set up Firefox as my browser, but no 'personalization' choices were made. When I tried to add one of the three (3) add ons for downloading audio from YT one was received a warning from MalwareBytes Virus Protection, the other two didn't seem to work or act correctly. Which one is working the best for most users and what the heck happened to the one I was using so successfully?

Hi, unfortunately with out a name there are pages : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=youtube%20downloader
Please let us help you if you have questions as this seems to be a surprise to you.
Note : if do not use : Adobe Shockwave Player uninstall it.
Note Firefox updates tomorrow to version 62.0
I appreciate the information and advice; but still don't have any specific information about a good/safe program to download audio from youtube videos. I suppose the new version coming tomorrow may have different ones and I will need to ask this question again. As for the Adobe Shock player; the tech who upgraded it installed it. I didn't think I'd had it before; and frankly don't know what it is used for. As for uninstalling it; is that because it is unsafe or unnecessary (the last of which I obviously don't know since I have no idea what it is used for. Thanks again.

Since you didn't give reference to the program no one can do much to help here. There are various ones online but some work and some don't-I do have one I use but that is paid and it work on youtube. But with addons that is more a hit/miss. Using standalone program to do the download your better option.
Thank you West End for your reply. Can you provide me more information about the one you have that is a paid site and works on youtube? Lately I haven't had much luck finding any except those offered on Firefox. I used to have one that I used often that I found on the internet, but it was removed recently when they did the sweep to remove most such programs. I appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks again!
If look at the URL i gave and to the right of the program list is the amount of people using it. So that should give you an idea of what is good or not. Also there are reviews for it and if google can find reviews .
