So I have a desktop PC with 2 accounts, one to keep work organized and the other for casual PC-things. I also have a laptop which I use for schoolwork. I am signed into the same FF account on all of these.

Now I have accumulated a different set of bookmarks on all of those windows users, for understandable reasons, but there are also some general use ones that I have tried to sync to all of these. The sync however brings everything.

Here is my main question: Is there a feature present or maybe in development that would allow me to select which bookmarks to Sync, say, by folder or smth?

Also I would like to know this about the nature of the Sync options: If I tick the "Bookmarks" in the Sync options, it takes that user's bookmarks and pushes them into the sharing process, correct? Does the selection affect what is Synced INTO the current user? As in does the selection work as a simultaneous push/pull for the bookmark data or is just one or the other? The direction of sync isn't really clear on the options.

No, there is no feature in Sync which allows for synchronizing "some" bookmarks, it's all or nothing. And there is no "direction control" with Sync, data flows to the Sync server and from there out to all other devices; although the Sync server treats "mobile" versions of Firefox (Fxfor Android and Fx for iOS) a little differently than the laptop / desktop version. Not all desktop bookmarks get sync'd to mobile devices. Not sure what the differences with "mobile" are, as I don't use a mobile device; the Sync server controls that feature.

In addition to separate Windows Logon User Accounts (LUA), is is possible to use multiple Firefox Profiles within the same Windows LUA, which is what I do.

Thank you for your answer!

That's a bummer. But it isn't the end of the world as it is just a handful of common bookmarks I can manage manually.

Would be a great feature in the future, though!
