Bookmarks Folder is set to "Other Bookmarks"

For some reason, I've been getting the "Other Bookmarks" as the default folder each time I'd like to book mark a page? I'd like to have it set back to "Bookmarks Menu". How to do so? Thanks.

The Other Bookmarks folder is the default in current Firefox releases.

You can look at this extension.

I just upgraded to 68.0.1 and new bookmarks default to "other bookmarks". Clearly, that folder is someone's baby, but it should be user-selectable.

"Other Bookmarks" has been the default since version 57 for "Bookmark This Page"/Ctrl+d, and since version 4 for the star button (back when the folder was called Unsorted Bookmarks).

Maybe there will be a configuration option added to Firefox in the future, but for now, the extension listed in cor-el's reply is the best workaround.
