I am receiving SMTP Timeout. Outlook, Em Client, have no issues with configuration. Scrolling thru 100's of lines of text offer no solution. Thunderbird v73.0b2, Win 10 Pro, I5, 8GB Ram, 300+ Mpbs connection

Thanks for your response Matt. Thunderbird accessed the wrong mail setting when I installed it. I just set the pop & smtp to the same settings as the old outlook and it worked fine.

Thanks again!

tried with your anti virus disabled? Often anti virus scanning causes timeouts.

I looked on the spectrum web site, and they appear to repeat the same settings for Microsoft and apple email programs, so I suggest you use them as well;

   Username: Your full Spectrum email address
   Password: Your Spectrum email password
   SSL: On
   Protocol: IMAP
   Incoming Email Server: mobile.charter.net
   Port: 993
   Outgoing Email Server: mobile.charter.net
   Port: 587
   Requires Authentication: Yes, or checked
