Restoring session loads tabs in random order

Every time I launch Firefox, it shows me the session manager window to restore the tabs from the last session. Although the list of tabs/windows is almost always in the right order, when I restore the tabs, they all load in a random order. Sometimes it even creates an extra window with a few tabs.

This happens whether I have a few tabs or many tabs.

Is this the expect behavior? I mean, session manager can't guarantee that the tabs are going to load in the same order as before?

I don't mind if the windows are not in order. But tabs are definitively loaded randomly. And, I forgot to mention, sometimes some tabs fail to load. They don't even appear in the session manager.

Looks like sth is wrong with sessionstore backups.

Go to your Profile folder and examine the sessionstore-backups subfolder.

So, I checked the .jsonlz4 files and they seem ok. Then I restarted FF. It auto updated itself in the process.

After the update, session manager was missing many tabs. And I got a "hint" from FF saying that if I wanted to restore the tabs from private windows I could do so by pressing that button to restart FF. Even though I had no private windows, I tried that. When FF launched again, the session manager was empty. No tabs, no windows. There was not even a button to close the session manager window.

Now, every time I restart FF, the session manager is always empty. The tabs, or some of them, are automatically restored in random order. It even loads a separated window with only 1 tab. Looks like FF is joking with me.

FF was already auto loading the previous tabs before (missing many tabs, and in random order), and also showing the session manager to choose what to load (missing less tabs, but still missing tabs, and in random order). Now it is doing the same, but session manager is empty.

I guess my best option is to bookmark all tabs before closing FF, and then manually load all them when I launch FF again. Tedious, but at least I will load them in order and I won't miss any tab.
