Starting Firefox brings up blank page instead of homepage

After Firefox updated today, it no longer brings up my homepage when I launch the browser. Instead, it's just a blank page (not even a default page). Clicking on the homepage takes me to the correct address.

>Properties show "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" with no extension.

>I've tried resetting homepage defaults in the options, to no change.

Is there anyway I can get my homepage to show up when I launch the browser?

It doesn't sound like Firefox is restoring your previous session if you just get a blank tab. Hmm...

Do new windows (Ctrl+n) load the home page as expected?

I do think we've had occasional threads about the startup page not loading, but unfortunately I can't recall the reasons for it. In some cases, I think users had a security software filter that was slow and Firefox timed out very quickly on the initial load. That shouldn't be an issue for an internal page. In older versions I think it sometimes was related to Firefox doing some leftover "shutdown" cleanup at startup. But that shouldn't happen every time you exit Firefox unless there is some other problem.

Ctrl+n does load the homepage just fine.

I ended up doing a hard restart of my laptop and that seemed to fix the issue.
