Unable to add Google Calendar with the extension Provider for Google Calendar
Hello everyone! I am using Thunderbird Version 68.2.1 on Windows 10 I have downloaded and installed Thunderbird, then downloaded and installed Provider for Google Calendar. Restarted the Thunderbird. When adding a new calendar - I click on Create New Calendar > On the Network > there is no option to add Google calendar, as seen on the screenshot.
I have uninstalled and installed Thunderbird again, read the forum threads and help articles. It is a new Installation of Thunderbird, I have never installed any other calendars, never really used it and unfortunately cannot seem to overcome this issue.
Would anyone please have any idea how to find a solution to it?
Many thanks in advance!

Why Thunderbird 68.2.1 and NOT 68.11.0?
This is the version available for download on the Thunderbird website.
That's not true. V78.1.0 is the version currently offered on thunderbird.net. If that's not the website you're using, then you're using the wrong website! Older versions are archived and here https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/68.11.0/ is v68.11.0.
Thank you for your response. I have checked it and downloaded the version mentioned by. This has not solved the issue, however thank you for your suggestion.
The Provider for Google Calendar add-on is not yet compatible with the latest Thunderbird release (v78.x). An alternative add-on that works with v78 is TbSync. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1297248?page=2#answer-1338582 for steps setting up the add-on to sync your Google Calendar with Thunderbird. Those steps were for syncing Google Contacts, but they are exactly the same for calendar syncing. You'll just need to select the Google calendar you want to sync in step #9. In other words, replace "contact" or "address book" with "calendar" in those steps and you end up with steps for syncing your Google Calendar with Gmail.
