Composing messages only pulls from Local not Synced Cardbook
I have TB 78 on Linux and Cardbook installed. I have two Cardbook address books one is a local book the other is a synced book. In the Mail / Preferences / Composition / Addressing I have unchecked - when composing messages look in local address book. When I compose a message and start typing an address it only pulls from the local and not the synced address book. I Can't see any settings in the Cardbook preferences to change this. Does any one have a idea.

Autocomplete using a synced address book works here if 'Autocompletion of email addresses' is checked in Card Book Preferences/General. The address book is synced in Card Book, but not also in TB's Address Book.
I have that checked nothing. The synced book is the default book also will no populate. Same issue on two near identitcal machine. Also propose concatenated and show addressbook name dont work either on either machine. Windows running v 68 works like it should. Compose / Menu / View / View Contacts is the only way to force it.

My setup is TB 78.5/W10 and Card Book 54.0. Check that you have the latest version, as there were autocomplete fixes in 53.7. Also, check if there are any other add-ons that might conflict with CB.
Both linux machines have 78.5 and cb is v 54. This is not an issue where it stops working sfter time. The program is opened and closed multiple times per day when in use and it does not work at all. It did work on v 68 with linux and still works on v68 windows. The concatenate / show address book name, also worked fine previous. I don' t want to uninsall and reinstall since I will probably have to reconfigure the address books and I don 't want to. I have about 7 addons; disabled all rebooted re enabled cardbook tried again and no difference. I changed the local address book to read only to see if that would make a difference but not; the compose window continues to pull from the local only not the synced. The synced is the same one on the windows machine it has a local and the synced; and composing will pull addresses from both. The workaround for now is enabling the contacts sidebar in the composition window and manually selecting from there. When I type in there it will pull up as long as I have "All Addressbooks" selected in the dropdown above. It 's less than perfect since in regular method typing name in "To" field for Dave Smith will pull up all three email I have for him and I select which one I want and it populates the To field. Using the sidebar his name appears in the sidebar search, double click on it and all three email's populate the To field then I go and delete out the ones I dont want to send to. Not the end of world but works until or if this ever starts working again thank 's.
Edit - also under Email / Preferances / Composition / Addressing - Local Address Books - I have tried this checked and unchecked and it makes no change in the results for the above issue.
