Bookmarks bar being shown whenever I add a bookmark
When I add a page to bookmarks, the bookmarks bar shows up under the search bar, the first time it happened I selected "never display" the bar, but after that, everytime I add another bookmark the bar shows again, even if I have the option to not show the bar selected, as I have to click it again for the bar to go away.
How can I make that bar not display anymore?

I didn't see a setting for this, but perhaps someone else knows of one.
Do you add bookmarks to the toolbar to use through a menu instead of on the horizontal bar?
We have seen issues reported in the past caused by the iCloud Bookmarks extension, so you can try to disable/uninstall this extension.

I hade a iCloud extension installed. I uninstalled it but the problem persists.
But now the bookmarks bar shows when I add a tab, but only on the tab, and if I change tabs the bar goes away.
And now the bookmark star does not appears as before, I have to click the three dots to see the option. EDIT: got it back.

You now have three choices for showing the Bookmarks Toolbar: Never, Always, and "Only Show on New Tab" (Firefox Home: about:home and about:newtab). You can right click free space on the Navigation Toolbar or use the View menu (View -> Toolbars -> Bookmarks Toolbar).
Like you probably noticed is that you can right-click items in the three-dot page actions drop-down list to add them to or remove them from the page actions container area in the location bar.
