Google search engine on Firefox showing suggestions from a different region.
Hi,
Straight to the point,
I live in Colombia, the search suggestions that come up when using the default Google search engine on Firefox are on Spanish and are all related to the country.
This does not happen when I search normally on Google.com. I already set the search results on Google.com to another region, and the language to English.
It seems to me, the problem is the default Google search engine on Firefox, since this does not happen when I use the Bing search engine.
I would like to keep Google as my search engine and search suggestions on, Is it possible to set it so that the search suggestions that show up on the address bar are from another region, more specifically, the US?
Thank you.

This sounds to me like the use of algoritmantationing hmm or well, google remembers stuff like uh everything, its almost like they allready know you, but I hope not. Its a common thing, I hear it everyday, but did this help you ?
In my testing of various Google search plugins (.com, .co.uk, .ca, .com.au), Google seems to use my IP address in the U.S. to localize suggestions.
I think the way Firefox requests suggestions doesn't take advantage of your existing Google cookies which would inform Google about your regional and language preferences. It also doesn't send that information with the request. But maybe that is fixable?
The trick is to add some language and region parameters to the suggestion request. Unfortunately, the built-in search engines cannot be edited, so an add-on of some kind would be involved. I'm taking a look...
Okay, here's my effort. Want to test it out?

Thank you for answering, after swaping the default Google search engine for the one you provided the problem does not seem to be solved, for some the first 3 to 4 suggestion are still in Spanish.
At this point I think I've decided to just turn off suggestions, at leats until I find a solution later, or Firefox provides an option to change the location of the default Google search engine.
I will update this thread if I find a solution to the problem
Thanks for testing. It's pretty difficult for me to test from California!
