Using my iPad version of Firefox, please could someone tell me how do I:

  • Create a folder?
  • Edit a folder?
  • Rename a folder?
  • Delete a folder?
  • Add a bookmark to a specific folder?

And also, how do I:

  • Create a default folder?
  • Quickly add a bookmark to a default folder?
  • Change which folder is designated as the default?

In fact any information on folders at all — as long as it is specific to, or takes account of, using an iPad — would be very welcome. I may be being particularly dim (and perhaps suffering from an acute case of ‘grey brain’, but then shouldn’t it work smoothly even for ancient crones as well as young dudes?) but not only can I not discover how to use folders within the app itself nor — even more frustrating — can I find any information about how to set up and use them when using the iPad version. Maddening!

Lastly, given the nightmare of trying to find any of this, why would I continue to use Firefox when using Safari is so easy and intuitive, and creating/using folders is a breeze?

A huge thank you to anyone who can help. Are you monitoring this, Mozilla? I used to love Firefox on my old PC — I was a very early adopter of it many, many years ago — and used to sing its praises to anyone who’d listen. (I used to love playing around with all the different variants and add-ons.) But I’m hating it on my iPad right now and will ditch it in an instant if I can’t get this ‘should-be-simple’ issue sorted out. This would be a great pity given my previous allegiance to both Firefox and Mozilla. I need my browser to work for me, not act coy, hiding options who knows where? and generally playing hard to get to do even this simple thing. Besides, at my extremely advanced age I don’t need anything raising my blood pressure even further than it is already, thank you. (I might die & the death certificate would have to say ‘Firefox for iPad’ as the cause of death.)
