Built in PDF viewer

more options

The new built in PDF viewer has one main bug. Thunderbird opens the PDF document behind the open email so that you can't see it has been opened until you close or minimise the email. I tried to find a way to customise this so that the PDF document opens in front of the e-mail, which would seem to be the best default setting, but could not find a way to do it. Any suggestions? Maybe something could be changed in the next update if there is not presently a solution?

I have discovered a workaround but this is not a final solution. I changed the settings to "open messages in a new tab" instead of "...in a new or existing message window". However, I think a solution should be found to cover the other options so that the PDF document is visible when opened.
