All of my search history, passwords, bookmarks, everything is gone. I searched %appdata% and found my two old folders (one ends in .default other in .user). I went to profiles and changed them to default and nothing changed. It just puts me in default homepage and asks me to make a new profile. Please help, there is extremely important stuff that I've just lost for no reason.

If Firefox won't let you launch a profile from about:profiles and instead says you need to create a new one, it usually means that profile has been marked as having been upconverted to a newer version than the one you are trying to launch it in. Which doesn't make a lot of sense because your Firefox identified itself as the newest version.

Have you recently run a beta or other pre-release version of Firefox on your system?

If not, we might need to suggest a little file surgery to make Firefox forget the last version of the browser that used that profile. I may need to search some other threads for the steps to do that as I wouldn't want to suggest deleting the wrong things.
