Chromecast
Any way to cast to chromecast with firefox?
It's annoying that I have to use Chrome or Edge to cast youtube to my TV.
Or use my phone. But it's charging atm. So very annoying my favorite browser can't do this simple thing. But all the other browsers can.

How Is it up to Google? Isn't it up to Firefox to add Casting support? I read somewhere it worked before.

Mozilla is not going to add a closed-source proprietary thing to open-source Firefox.
You can cast to Chromecast of sorts with Android Firefox but not on desktop Firefox (for Windows, macOS, Linux). https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/getting-started-firefox-android-tablet-browser
Edge for desktop is Chromium-based which is why it has Chromecast support.

Too bad... The negative points Firefox is accumulating lately making me seriously consider changing browser. Atm the only thing that's making me choose Firefox over others is "Back to Close WE" extension.
And I'm not sure that's good enough a reason any more.

I signed up just to tell you that after using FF off and on since windoze 95. I'm deleting FF from my windoze, Fedora 35, Fedora 36, Bodhi, Android tablets, and phones. If I cannot cast to my equipment from your browser YOU don't fit my needs anymore.
