TBird 91.x, POP3, Win 10 Spontaneously puts messages into trash (no reason) and trash spontaneously empties what's in trash. There had been a confIrmation script but I cancelled it and at least want it back. Or is there a way to rename the trash folder? Aside from other complications / time-wasting I lose important mail. Thank you,

What does it say in your account settings regarding retention? The server settings in account setting deal with deleted mail.
