I get notification with a popup every time TB has any minor update. The difference between 102.10.0 versus 102.10.04 is negligible. even the current 102.10.0 versus 102.12.0 is not worth the bother. However, every time I start TB it pops up the annoying sign I have to dismiss.

The next major update is soon and will be Thunderbird 115, codename Supernova, in July 2023 Thunderbird 115, codename Supernova, in July 2023.

I seem to remember a method in Firefox config that allows for ignoring all but major updates. Can anyone tell us how to do it either FF or TB?

Post V115 my understanding it the intention is to resume a major release each 4 weeks, in the same manner as Firefox.

Seriously I have to wonder at bothering to cancel the update message on each start Vs a single restart to stop it for a month. But then I do not have a third party security suite/ Antivirus that is the primary cause of update issues installed either.
