Hi, new here and need help with a potential Thunderbird-related issue:

In the last month or two, my machine (a Thinkpad laptop, e15) has crashed three times without warning, not even a BSOD. On rebooting and logging into Windows and running FireFox, the first thing that happens is the launch of a Thunderbird update. This has occurred on all three occasions.

Although I usually have Thunderbird open when using the laptop, I open/close it at least three or four times a day, so this is not a case of an app allowed to remain open for more than a few hours.

Today, I disabled automatic updates in the Thunderbird settings, though I find it questionable whether Thunderbird has anything to do with this.

Has anyone else experienced this "coincidence"?

Oops, first post and already bloopers. I meant Thunderbird update, not Thinkpad updates.... sorry.
