Is there any way to move the download thing to the bottom like it used to be in old Chrome? Just gave up on that PoS after 20+ years, it keeps being updated by windows 10, but I know nothing about Firefox. 

    Also, is there a way to set it to auto open zip or rar files when I download them? That would bypass the problem of wanting to move that stupid tiny arrow.

To unzip require that your OS has the ability to unzip those files. Windows update is outside the scope of Firefox browser end-user help here. Did you check the Windows accessibility features to insure the fonts are the correct size so you can read and also check your "screen resolution" that they are "Native resolution" for viewing as along with update Video drivers. And check Firefox accessibility features to insure they are set for correct viewing as well.
