Android Thunderbird
I've installed Thunderbird on my Pixel 9 Pro. I used my Linux Fedora Thunderbird to generate a QR code to get my Android Thunderbird established. Android Thunderbird is working ok but my contacts from the Linux Thunderbird did not come over and writing emails from there is difficult without my contacts. How do I port over the Linux Fedora Thunderbird contacts to my Android Thunderbird?

Ok, I got it!
So I generated the CVS file from Linux Thunderbird. Then I used an online tool (www.fileconverts.com/csv/csv-to-vcard ) to generate a vcf file. Uploaded that to my phone. Went to Contacts -> organize -> import and pulled into my contacts.
Voila!
Thanks for your help!

https://forum.k9mail.app/t/carddav-which-contacts-list/4871/15 sounds interesting. But I do not know whether that is the current state of the art.
Ok, so I've done some research and learning. On my Linux system, Thunderbird is storing the contacts. On Android Thunderbird, Thunderbird is pulling the contact information from the phone contacts. So now I need to get my Linux Thunderbird Contacts to my Android phone. When I go to the Linux Thunderbird, I select the contacts that I want to export and go to Tools -> Export and this only generates a VERY large ZIP file (not the correct format to import them to my Android Phone). When I right click on the Linux Thunderbird contacts book I can select there but it only generates a .CSV file ... I don't get an option to select VCF format.
So how do I export my Linux Thunderbird Contacts in the proper format to get them imported into the Contacts on my Android Phone?
It would be a multi-step hack, but https://freeshell.de/~kaosmos/morecols-en.html which only works on older version of Thunderbird (52 or 60?). You'd have to first export your address book from 128 and import it to that older version.
Thanks for your ideas!
Well, if I am going to have to downgrade Thunderbird, couldn't I just go back a release or two where exporting with VCF was supported? Or wasn't this actually supported on the Linux version?
I see now that export to vcard does work at the address book level. Right+click on an address book.
Implemented in Bug 1139965 - Implement function to export addressbook in vCard format
Mmm, when I right click on an address book, I have the option to export but after selecting export, I don't get the option to select vCard.
Perhaps my system doesn't have the big fix yet.
