When I click on bookmark this page, it doesn't bring up the bookmark box, so that I can add it.

If the bookmark is already saved, when I click on bookmark this page, it will bring up the dialog box to add bookmark.

But if I want to add a new bookmark, when I click on bookmark this page, it will not bring up the dialog box so I can add it.

This just started happening several months ago, and I have tried everything that involves bookmark problems, but it still is not working.

Have you tried right mouse clicking and seeing if the "Bookmark this tab" comes up.

Thanks for the come back. I have tried that as well, but the dialog box will not pop up. It's really kind of strange, because if I already have the page in my bookmarks, it will bring up the dialog box.

Odd. I would check for a Firefox upgrade, if that doesn't do the trick, re-install firefox. Just make sure you are using X-Marks to save all of your bookmarks.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I have uninstalled several times, same damn problem. I have also checked the themes, and even in the safe mode, it still won't work. This is a real strange problem to say the least.
