Is it the json files that you have copied? If you have you can restore the bookmarks from one of the json files by using the restore method as shown in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Backing+up+and+restoring+bookmarks

thnx for the prompt reply but the organize bookmarks option in my bookmark menu is grayed out...how to restore them then?
