I decided to try out the new release candidate of Firefox Mobile on my EVO 4G. As soon as I try to type anything into any text box on a website (example: Facebook login information), as soon as I type a single letter using Swiftkey, the Swiftkey app Force Closes. This is the first time the Swiftkey app has ever force closed on my phone, and I can not recreate the issue in any other app, therefore I have to assume it has purely to do with Firefox Mobile Release Candidate. If you need any other information please let me know.

I am using a rooted version of HTC's version of Android 2.2. Kernel version: 2.6.32.27-netarchy-toastmod-4.3.4-cfs-havs-more-sbc Build Number: 3.70.651.1

The build, 3.70.651.1, is HTC's version of Android 2.2 with Sense and all of their tweaks. I am using a rooted version of HTC's software, with very minor additions/tweaks, so I don't think this has much to do with it, considering I'm basically running the software that HTC provides for the phone. However, I will attempt to use a different root, and I will go back to my stock version of HTC's Android 2.2 in the future and attempt this again. If I find anything interesting I will certainly let you know.

The SwiftKey developer is aware of this issue and it is on the list of things for them to fix. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617298#c21

A fix for this bug will be included in the next version of Firefox, which will be available in a month or two. You can help us test the fix now by downloading a "Nightly" or "Aurora" preview build from this page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
