There used to be a pull-down menu of previous pages at the backward/forward arrows so you could open it and go back say, 3 pages, easily. Is the only way to do this now to open up the history? If so, it's VERY inconvenient.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
