I don't know what other details I can provide. I don't have a firebox button at the top of my screen, so I can't go over to "Options" and can't click on restoring my bookmarks!!!

If the orange Firefox button doesn't show, use the Bookmarks menu item on the Menu Bar to access Show All Bookmarks. That orange Firefox button only appears when the Menu Bar is hidden.
