I currently and happily use Firefox 6.0 Update channel is Beta, which now I find I cannot easily change.

I have no wish to update to any future version of FF unless it is compatible with the extensions I use and value.

I am repeatedly urged to update to FF 7.0 I don't want to see that reminder. It is damn annoying!!

Just a simple option that could be checked in the update reminder notice to NOT remind again certainly would be welcomed.

Thanks for your attention.

Sincerely, Kip

Uninstall that Beta channel version and install the 6.0 release version to get on the Release channel.

thanks! but seems a major operation just to satisfy a simple annoyance. (and I am sure the same for many other FF users)

instead will wait until my incompatible extensions are upgraded before installing FF 7

no biggy!

That is the consequence if you switch to the beta channel.
You will receive an update alert for the next beta version (currently 7.0b2).
The only way to switch the update channel properly from beta to release is to install the release version.
