My Firefox attempts to use the Windows default mail program when I click on a link to send an e-mail from a webpage. I went to the Firefox help page, and it said that I needed to go to Options -> Applications -> Content Type mailto. I have no content type that is mailto as shown in the pictures on the help page under the Applications tab. Mine goes itms, MacPaint Image and then MIDI sequence. There is no mailto. So, the instructions on the help page for changing what Firefox uses for e-mail does not help. What I want to happen is that when I click on a e-mail link on a webpage, I want Firefox to open Gmail which is what I use for e-mail. Any help would be appreciated.

Click on tools > Options. Select Applications. It's the 4th option over along the top. When you go there, you should see a long list of items below. Look for "mailto". Click on that. You should see a drop down box with Gmail as an option. Click on that.

That is my whole problem. Mailto is not there in that list. I just went through the entire list again for the 14th time, and there is no "mailto" in my applications list.
